Welcome to the Wood Fuel Quality Assurance (WFQA) Scheme
The Wood Fuel Quality Assurance (WFQA) Scheme certifies wood fuel meeting internationally recognised standards. It is an independent certification scheme designed to enhance the quality of wood fuels in Ireland.
To be certified, a wood fuel supplier must have stringent quality control measures in place, maintain proper records, source fuel only from sustainably managed forests and above all - Sell wood fuel with proven quality. We hope the scheme will allow the consumer to have full confidence in the fuel they buy, and that the use of wood will grow in Ireland - supporting jobs and the environment.
